Sony Ericsson will very shortly be dropping an absolute monster of a camera phone on us all - the Sony Ericsson C905, complete with an 8 megapixel camera. Currently codenamed the Sony Ericsson Shiho, the C905 is set to blow all other camera phones out of the water. Firstly, the camera. 8.1 megapixels in size, and with such a huge range of photo-enhancing features that come with it, it's set to be the best camera phone one the market bar none.

Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-shot cell phone, and we were extremely impressed. This is one of the most feature-packed cell phones that has ever been announced, packing an industry-leading 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus, video capture, and Xenon flash, for the best picture taking experience. The C905 Cyber-shot also sports WiFi and a built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support. The phone can use the GPS to automatically geotag your photos with the shooting location.

It has a very unusual profile that only serves to make it look even more like a "real" camera. We look forward to getting hold of a production C905 Cyber-shot when they start shipping in the last quarter of this year - in time for the holiday shopping season.

The C905 photos can be geotagged thanks to the built-in GPS receiver.

The accelerometer will allow for screen auto rotation when you go through your camera album. It's also got a TV-out port for watching your images on the TV. The Sony Ericsson C905 codenamed Shiho measures 104 x 49 x 18 (19.5) millimetres, and weighs a massive 136 grams. It’ll be available in Copper Gold, Ice Silver & Night Black in early Q4, with a bundled 2 GB Memory Stick Micro M2. It comes in three variants, two with full support for UMTS and HSDPA in the certain regions (even America).
