Imagine yourself in a crisis: you are supposed to be meeting a client for dinner to complete a big deal and you have been made late because a meeting in a nearby town ran long. When you go to phone your client, you realize you forgot to charge your cell phone. The battery is dead, and the client's mobile number is in your dead phone! What do you do? Your job is suddenly at risk just because you neglected to plug in your cell phone?!
The savvy mobile phone user will not lose it, because the savvy mobile phone user knows that all he has to do is slip out the SIM card from his phone and install it into someone's else's. All the subscriber information-including phone contacts-is stored on that little card! Any phone into which you put your SIM card will act as your own phone, complete with games (and billing information!).
A SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card is part of your phone's integrated circuit card and includes your identity, phone numbers, and information specific to your provider network. If you upgrade your phone, you can easily transfer your SIM card from the old phone to the new one. It only takes a minute to take off the back of the phone, slip out the battery, and pluck out the card then open up the new phone and install it. It saves a lot of time adding in phone numbers and fiddling with settings.
Currently, new technology has made it possible for SIM cards to allow cell phones to perform as web servers. High speed communications are handled directly within your phone, and the phone connects to the internet. Through this connection, any form of media can be published on a website!
The internet is now portable in ways that were previously never imagined! With a cell phone connected to the internet and operating as a web server, you can actually take your business anywhere you go! The possibilities are huge.
