iBiza is considered a popular party destination, especially due to its legendary nightlife centered around two areas: Ibiza Town and Sant Antoni. iBiza clubs have become the center of the worldwide electronic music movement. The season traditionally begins at the start of June with the clubs opening parties and finishes on the first weekend of October with the Closing Parties. There are plans to extend this season.
iBiza is not all about the clubbing large portions of the island are registered as UN World Heritage Sites. Many photographers and commercial directors use the islands beauty as a back drop. The islands government is trying to change iBiza's image and is passing legislation to calm down the hedonism and encourage a quieter tourism scene. All new hotels have to be 5-star and all clubs have to close by 6am
However out of seaason the whole island is empty of tourists and the clubs are shut. Tourists who plan to travel to the island prior to June or after September should expect a quieter time with more unsettled weather.
Es Vedra it's claimed is the third most magnetic place on Earth after the North Pole and the Bermuda Triangle. It's a huge mountain shaped rock rising out of the sea. iBiza sailers refuse to go near it for superstitious reasons.
