Each day is a learning experience for everyone of us. That also holds true for kids also. As a parent you are correct being worried about your kids development in the initial years. You want to make sure that his or her faculties are developing alright.
If you want to watch your kid grow into a more mature individual then you need to understand the role of you as a parent in the development of a child. As a parent you play a central role in kids development. It is the home that provides the environment of learning.
In later stages the school provides that learning environment but the experts say that it is the home that provides that foundation for the kids development. That said there are few things that you need to take care of so that kid learns fast and absorbs the habit of learning. Make sure the he understands how the task is done and what each equipment is called. Appreciate him if helps in the task. Reward him the next time if he sees the mop and he tries to mop the floor clean. That is your way of recognizing his efforts.
There are other daily activities which the kid can be involved like switching off the television or picking up the phone and giving it to you. Each time add fun to the activity you are doing. Always add an element of surprise to it so that kid can fun while learning. It also him to know that he is considered as a part of the family and involved.
Socializing is another important factor in kids learning so make that the kids learn to socialize with elders and other kids. Make sure that you take the kid out daily into the community park so that he or she can interact with other kids. Make sure to explain to the child how to greet other kids and how to greet the elders.
