Toddlers can be a handful, they are growing fast and learning more and more about their world surround them. This is also the age when the pick up on new words and start developing new skills. As a parent it is important to work with them on games and plays that stimulates their mind.
When teaching your toddler new skills, such as potty training, sleeping, ect make it fun, so they enjoy while they learn. Introduce them to activities that stimulates their mind and body.

When do is the right time to start potty training your toddler ? usually two years is a good year to start. Its not recommended to start training while you are on vacation or visiting relatives. So start the potty training when you are home. Make it a fun activity. You can make it a reward based game where everytime they potty in their little toilet, they get a reward of some sort. Toddlers love to be priased. Be persistant and you will see them learn quickly.
Terrible Twos There is a reason why they are called terrible twos. This is where they are learning a lot about their surroundings and they are imitating everything they learn see. For a moment everything is normal and there is peace, then you find that she is kicking and screaming on the floor because you didn't do something her way. So how do you address the tantrums. Best way to deal with these burst of tantrums is to set rules and then stick to them.
If the toddler gets what it needs when it cries, they will not learn to communicate properly and you will have your hands full. Never give into their little tantrums. Instead teach them how to ask nicely. Reward them with love, when they behave. Don't get mad at a kid when they cry, instead help them clam down and ask what they are asking. Be consistant. Every toddler throws tantrums, its up to you the parent to teach them.
Getting Your Toddler To Sleep
Sleep is very important to growing children. But we all know this is the most difficult challenge every parents face day in and day out. So how do you get your child excited about sleeping? When choosing their bedding you need to make sure the bedding is not only comfortable and safe for your kid, but also fun and exciting and help the relax. You need to be consistent about the time they go to bed and it's a good idea to avoid feeding them high sugary food or drinks before they go to bed. A nice cup of warm milk an hour before their bedtime always helps.
When they toddler refuses to be in bed, some parents tell monstor jokes, but you don't want to scare your kids, its better to help them relax by telling stories or letting them cuddle with their favourite stuffed animal
Some parents lose their cool when the toddler is not sleeping. Its understandable you are tired and over worked, but getting mad at your kid will not help them calm down. Be consistent, but don't yell. Talk to them nicely and encourage them to fall asleep.
