One of the most hazardous places I can think of is in a laboratory, you can be exposed to a number of different harmful chemicals and dangerous equipment. By reducing these elements, we are required to be properly educated in minimizing the risk factors involving laboratory injuries and accidents.
We sometimes tend to be careless, and a laboratory is no place for such behavior. Learning and understanding is the key to avoid accidents, to be aware is already one key in accident prevention.
To create and maintain a safe place of work and a safe working environment through the dissemination of information, instruction, training and by regular auditing and monitoring. We should always factor the possible accidents that might occur during work, awareness is one way of avoiding all of this.
After the safety training, the trainees should be able to identify the main risks present inside their laboratories, and why it is important to control those said risks. The trainees should be able to perform risk assessment for the various items and equipments in their laboratories, and the various control measures that they can implement for these.

Laboratory safety training is mainly to make the people working in a laboratory aware of the possible dangers that may threaten them. Knowing what might happen is already an important step in prevention. The people working in a laboratory have to understand the concept of safety and how it is important in their lives.
