Truck tool boxes are very useful to use to transport your tools to and from work. These are also very useful if you plan on carrying fishing or sporting equipment. Another common material is aluminum. This is very light and much more durable than plastic. It is more expensive than plastic however it should almost certainly last longer. They are also easier to clean and come in silver color or black.
The strongest and most durable material is steel. These are fantastic and can be used for constant heavy duty use. These are the most expensive form of boxes but are the most durable. You should restrict your choices to boxes with a powder coated finish. These will protect the box from the elements.

There are many different manufacturers of tool box. One very popular brand is Delta. These are liked by hobbyists and professionals alike. You can get these in a variety of different styles which are suitable for all sorts of things.
Delta champion is a series of products which offers a wide range of crossover tool boxes. These are available in a number of different sizes and styles which can fit any size of truck. These boxes have a rigid lid which is very secure. Leaking is not an issue with weatherproofing around the joints.
There is also a pro series of products which is made from aluminum and steel. Crossover use a double jaw latching system which prevents them getting stolen.
