Many people who are new to e-book writing believe that all you have to do is write an e-book, then sit back and count the money as it comes in. Unfortunately, nothing could be farther from the truth. To generate substantial e-book sales, you have to work hard at a solid marketing campaign. And the best marketing techniques involve the use of a number of different marketing programs. In Part 1 of this article, I covered the importance of diversifying your marketing campaigns. In this section, I will discuss several other marketing programs that you should use to maximize sales of your e-book.
In addition to articles, free ads, and solo ads, which were covered in part 1, you should consider using one or more of the pay-per-click (PPC) programs you can visit www.profit-pulling-ebooks.com Google, MSN, and Yahoo are among the three largest providers but you can find many others by doing a search. Don’t discount using the smaller PPC providers.
Although the smaller providers will not bring in as much traffic as the larger companies, their prices can often be significantly less. When using any type of PPC program, it is important to do your research and set a maximum amount that you are willing to spend per day. Horror stories abound on the Internet about the poor sap who made no sales but racked up several thousand in PPC charges. So, make sure you set limits on the amount you will commit each day. Forums can also be a very effective vehicle to market your first e-book. Register with ten to twenty of the largest forums and develop a good signature file that promotes your e-book. Each day, enter eight to ten postings on EACH of the forums that you registered with. Make sure that your postings provide real information or visit www.make-your-ebook-sell.com Do not just reply to someone by saying, “Good idea.” By providing good information on a regular basis, people will come to see you as an expert in your field and you will gain credibility.
The final marketing technique that I will cover is email marketing. I think that it goes without saying that you should never send out spam, but targeted email to your list can b an effective method to generate sales. Most people will not buy a product until they’ve been exposed to it five to seven times. For that reason, you should develop a five to seven part email (providing good information) promoting your e-book. This can be an extremely effective technique. Of course, there are thousands of other marketing techniques available; these are just a few of them. The point is, use a number of different methods. That way, you increase the exposure of your e-book exponentially. Good luck! Do you want to learn how to make money? Get all the details and start making money online!
