The law of attraction simply states that Like Attracts Like. Events happen because of the energies we give out and in turn attract. This happens regardless of whether or not we deliberately try to control the energies we give out. Belief in this statement would make us euphoric. If we fill ourselves with positive energy, we will attract positive energy and ultimately we would be in 'heaven' where only positive things happen to us and everything is perfect!
A common misconception when it comes to the Law of Attraction though is that once you accept it you will live happily ever after. We can't control all of the things that will take place in our life so this isn't true. Yet we can try very hard to emit positive energy into as many of the situations we are faced with as possible. No matter how well you control your mind and your heart, you just can't expect to be positive all the time. There are going to be instances where you feel very negative. It is a natural part of life so if you don't accept this as the truth you aren't being honest with yourself. The key is to acknowledge why you feel that surge of negative energy. That way you can do your part to get rid of it as effectively and as quickly as possible.
Some feel that that last statement makes the Law of Attraction not a real concept. Yet you have to believe that good things are going to be coming your way. You always need to look for that silver lining no matter how gray things may seem right now. Faith is a very important element of the Law of Attraction. Without it, you are just fooling yourself that you have taken control of your own life.
With positive energy you can see the world for what it is. You can accept responsibility for what goes on around you. Too many people fail to realize this though. They are still caught up in the belief that bad luck follows them. They tend to look for blame to pass off on others around them so they don't have to accept responsibility for those things in their life that they don't like. It is the wise person though that is able to identify the sources of negative energy that they too put out there. This way they can make a conscious effort to change it.
Sometimes lowering your expectations is a part of the Law of Attraction. This doesn't mean you let people take advantage of you though which is a very common misconception. Instead it means that you don't do something just so you can keep score of who owes you favors. Do what you feel is right regardless of if you think that person would do the same for you. If the do, great and if they don't you are the better person for your efforts. Good things come to those that are selfless by nature.
It can be difficult to cut off relationships with people who are always negative. Yet it may be necessary to keep you from picking up that form of energy. Instead of focusing on their negativity though you need to be more dedicated to controlling your levels of positive energy. By focusing on what you want to achieve though you will have not trouble doing this when it gets tough.
As people, we attract those that are like us. If you are continually attracting people with negative energy then you need to take a realistic look at the vibes you give off. You may not realize how much negative energy you happen to possess. You can do your best though to change that energy force to something more positive. Once you accomplish this you will be able to attract a different group of people who are happy to spend time around you. There are many misconceptions about the Law of Attraction but if you know the facts you can make it all work for you.
