Do not let the Executive Business Coaching go to waste.
Firstly, it is not cheap. Wether you paid it yourself or the company you work with pays it for you, chances are a large volume of money gets exchanged. Probably the better quality it is, the more expensive it is and there is essentially no limit.
To top it up, there is the investment in time and energy. Months, weeks, days or even hours, already a huge amount of resources have been spent. It therefore should not be put to waste at all, rather it the benefits should be extracted as early as it possibly can be.
It is of utmost importance to benefit from it with all efforts possible.
Participate actively and you have done the best there is. Test your ideas againts the company leadership, even the CEO and you have shown the greatest courage which will be noticed. You can make mistake, of course, but that is inconsequential as it is correctness that is looked for in the coaching, rather it is the effort.
Management is always looking out for people who leads. These are the people who are not shy to try and let people see it. They are not afraid to show people that they are learning and making mistakes along the way. To the eyes of the management, they are infinitely better than those who just wait and follow orders. This is a limited breed, so management do notice them.
Volunteer to lead projects during the coaching exercise. Exhibit your enthusiasm to take the challenge of leadership the moment opportunity shows itself up. You make a serious mark when you do this, anytime. You stand above the rest immediately.
And then treat the topics covered very seriously and let everyone can see that. The exercise is expensive, so its goals should not be taken lightly. The organisation objectives may need clarification. Polices need overhaul. Major dynamics are failing. No major issues, and management would not have put all the resources together for the business coaching. Remember, take the coaching lightly, and you will lose the chance to understand what is really happening badly and needs improvement.
Participate, lead and be serious. Miss it and you might as well just opt out from the coaching exercise and save company money doing that.
