Here are 5 powerful and effective success tips that you can use to enhance your work, your business, and your life. These are simple, precise, and easy to understand.
1. Remove the clutter -- We are a society of consumers. You can buy a product that promises to fix or enhance almost anything. There are products that will teach you how to get out of debt, make more money, or improve your tennis game. You can even buy tips for success.
A side effect of this consumer oriented society is that we end up with a lot of products that either doesn't perform as expected, or we never use.
We have exercise equipment that promised to make us thin, but we never use; movies that we bought on DVD, but never watch. We own bikes we never ride, and books we never read.
Too much junk clogs up our lives. We need to do a spring cleaning, both inside and out, and get rid of the clutter so we have room for new things.
Removing the excess from our lives translates into being more focused and more effective in our actions. It means having fewer, but more powerful thoughts, and possibly having fewer, but more meaningful relationships.
2. Don't chase after success -- Instead of chasing success, become task oriented and tackle and complete each task set before you. Envision in your mind what it is you want, and then break down the steps into tasks that are easy to do. Taking this approach prevents overwhelm, and avoids the top success killer; giving up.
3. Perfect your daily habits -- Create daily habits around things that inspire you. Choose 10 things that make sense to form daily habits around. Choose those things that juice you up and replace any old bad habits with these instead.
4. Complete your work faster -- For most of us, no matter how long we have to complete a task, it seems we like to put things off until the last minute. This rarely stops us, however, from completing our work on time.
If you can finish a project in a day instead of a week, then start immediately and complete it on the first day, and not the last. You can use the remaining time to work on personal goals, your part-time business, or something else that inspires you.
5. Know what you want and determine your outcome -- Decide on what you want up front. Make a commitment. Decide to commit to taking the necessary actions, to following through, and decide to accept the consequences of your actions.
For the next 5 months, add one of these success tips each month. In a short time, you'll see an improvement in the results you get in each aspect of your life and work.
