The human body needs a certain amount of vitamins in order to stay healthy. Each vitamin works to help the body in some way. They help maintain the overall health. When there is a vitamin deficiency, one might notice a change in their appearance. For example without enough potassium in your body you may wake up in the middle of the night with severe leg cramps.
Many wonder how long it can take to start to re-grow your hair after seeing a doctor. The answer is not definite, but more than likely, it can take up to three months for hair loss to begin to grow after changes in medications or illnesses have occurred. It mainly depends on what was the root of the problem of hair loss and what is required to alleviate that problem. The doctor will be able to give you a more definite time line based on your individual case.
For females who suffer from hair loss vitamin deficiency may be the key. One vitamin plays a major role in hair growth is vitamin B12. The vitamin B12 is not required in large doses in fact the body only needs a very low amount on a daily basis.
Hair follicles require vitamins to carry on their constant growth cycle. Follicles that are deprived of nutrients will cease to function and hair will not only stop growing, it will soon begin to fall out without any new growth to replace the falling out hairs. Most often this hair loss is due to a poor diet or disturbed metabolism. A change in dietary habits or food intake is completely necessary to ensure the proper amount and kinds of nutrients are being taken in order to prevent hair loss and help regenerate hair growth.
Vitamins A, E and B are the most significant in keeping hair healthy and growing. Vitamin A keeps the hair moist by helping the sebum secrete moisture in the scalp. This is a requirement for healthy hair growth as the sebum keeps the hair away from dryness or brittleness that can cause breakage or damage.
It is only logical that our hair is affected by whatever you put in your body. What you food and drink will be reflected in the health of your hair. Vitamin deficiency is not necessarily caused by a poor diet. However, eating a diet based on fast food or on precooked meals will contribute to unhealthy hair. At first you won't realize the damage it does but eventually you will start to notice the hair loss, poor texture of hair, breakage, and an unhealthy look. Therefore, a change in dietary habits or food intake is completely necessary to ensure the proper amount and kinds of nutrients are being taken in order to prevent hair loss and help regenerate hair growth.
