Where to go? Will there be room for us all? How much will it cost? What are we all going to do? Are just some of the questions you may need to ask yourself if you are trying to book a group holiday and it’s not always easy to ensure that the hotel has everything for everyone.

We all have different likes and dislikes so the need to ensure there is a variety of activities available for everyone in the Group is important. The Suffolk Heritage coast has so much to offer, rich in history, culture and natural beauty. Long coastal walks along the shore, bird spotting at nearby nature reserves, quaint market towns with an abundance of boutiques and galleries. Long country walks through Constable Country, or a visit to historic places such as Framlingham Castle, walking or cycling, coast or countryside. There may be members of your group that would like to get in a game of Golf, well Suffolk has a number of excellent golf courses, or even take the opportunity to get in some golf lessons. Activities available in Suffolk also include Horse-riding or Llama Trekking, sailing, sightseeing or shopping, so you are sure to please everybody in the group.

Making sure you have a good hotel as a base for touring the area is very important. They need to treat the group as individual guests as well, ensuring that everything is catered for on an individual basis as well as being a member of a larger party. It’s this special attention to detail that will be remembered by each and every member of the group.

So where to go in Suffolk? Aldeburgh is a unique and charming town and has many areas to explore from the stony beaches which feature a clam!! to the fresh country air of the nature trails. Aldeburgh is also a stone throw away from Thorpeness, a mock Tudor village which offers activities from golfing to rowing on the mere. It is also a short drive away from other Suffolk attractions, like Southwold, Woodbridge and Ipswich.

The White Lion Hotel in Aldeburgh caters for group bookings and can arrange special champagne reception parties and private dining. A fine traditional hotel, facing the beach, where fishermen still sell the catch of the day from the beach hut. Its 38 bedrooms are warm and inviting, some with glorious sea views or four-poster beds for those looking for something a little special.
